The Errementarikua farmhouse, home to the Simón Bolívar Museum since 1983, stands
on the coastal route of the Camino de Santiago.
The exhibitions show the life of local people in the Middle Ages and the personal and political career of Simón Bolívar.
-Ground floor: collection of images of Simón Bolívar. This floor also houses temporary exhibitions.
-First floor: information on the Middle Ages (landscape, way of life based on livestock and arable farming, importance of the churches of Bolibar and Zenarruza, use of wood to make charcoal, economic activities –forges and mills– and the foundation of chartered towns).
-Second floor: The life and times of Simón Bolívar (Venezuela 1783-Colombia 1830). Genealogy, Bolívar s travels to Europe; his time in Bilbao and Madrid, political pieces by Bolívar and the geography of the independence movement.
